01What is the purpose of this conference?
Being ME is here to inspire hearts, strengthen faith, and connect Muslim women from all walks of life. It’s a space where you can learn, grow, and be part of a community that uplifts and empowers one another—spiritually, socially, and personally.
The purpose of this conference is to provide a platform where women from different walks of life & aspirations are given opportunities to learn, share, teach and inspire one another. Thereby, they will empower themselves & others around them through identifying & exploring the true role of a Muslimah, benefit humanity as a result and please Allāh SWT. The aim of this conference is to inspire the hearts to inspire change at a personal level and to increase Iman and taqwa. We want to inspire the hearts to inspire a bond between Muslimahs, after all, as Muslim women we share a special bond even though we come from different walks of life. Finally, we want to inspire the hearts to inspire the desire of learning and sharing, hence transforming our lives as a community.

04What can we expect with the “A Life By His Design” theme? How is it beneficial to attend?
A Life By His Design invites us to step back, reflect, and strive to shape the life Allah has given us through His guidance. Allah reminds us that “those who strive for Us, We will surely guide them to Our ways” (29:69), and “How you live your day is how you live your life” brings that striving into the present.
We are not guaranteed the evening, and our hearts are constantly turning, so we continually need opportunities to learn, remember, reflect, repent, and realign.
Through inspiring talks and meaningful discussions on marriage, motherhood, mental health, ambition, parenting, identity, AI, Islamophobia, and the different roles and responsibilities we carry, the conference offers that space to renew Allah’s guidance in our everyday lives. Attendees can leave with new perspectives, practical takeaways, and renewed intention to seek Allah’s pleasure and use the day He has given us well, trusting that as we strive toward Him, He continues to guide us toward the life we aspire to live: a life by His design.
-
05Why is the conference held for women only?
It is important for women to educate themselves and to learn and grow in order to educate others and spread the knowledge within their communities. Women have a strong impact as a major decision maker in the household, and this event will allow women to network, share ideas and to come together in prospects towards bigger and better opportunities Insh’Allah. In the heart of a Muslimah lies faith to inspire change, the strength to conquer obstacles and the drive to impact the world. Reaching those heights takes reflection, purification, and work to ignite our hearts towards the path of Allah. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) would often recite, “O Allah! Controller of the hearts, direct our hearts to Your obedience.” [Related by Muslim].
The Being ME conference is a Sisters movement and it is very important that we have opportunities and platforms that cater to women and present issues that affect them. Women are the pearls of society and having avenues like the Being ME conference will allow women to share similar narratives of joys, struggles, and changes which shape their lives and teach them invaluable lessons. These experiences enhance our character, strengthen our hearts and guide our actions– all of which enable us to build our families and communities.
